(Part Six)

Then the Lord God said, “Behold the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:22-23

Knowledge of good and evil is “MAN”S WORLD”. The way man sees with his eyes, hears with his ears and understands with his heart. The way man thinks or believes.

JOHN 16:33

Jesus said, in the world you shall have tribulation (trials, sorrows and be tempted); but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world—and you can too.

TEMPTED OR TRIAL

No one come into this life and eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil without being tempted or trial.

JAMES 1:12-17

Blessed is the man who doesn’t give in and do wrong when he is under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

When tempted, no one should say, God is tempting me. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. Temptation is the pull of man’ own evil thoughts and wishes.

Then desire, when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full grown brings forth death. So don’t be misled, “Every good and perfect gift come to us from God.”

JOB 1:6-7

One day the angles “OR” the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, where have you come from? Satan answered the Lord, from patrolling the earth.

The Lord God permitted Satan to tempt, trial the son of man or the man, formed from the dust from the ground, “FOR EVIL”. JOB 1:9-12, and 2:4-7

Jesus was led by The Holy Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by Satan, to see if the son of man doesn’t give in and do wrong or do evil, when he is under trial.

MATTHEW 4:3-11

Then Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, to be tempted there by Satan. For forty days and forty nights he ate nothing and became very hungry. Then Satan tempted him to get food by changing stones into loaves of bread. It will prove you are the son of God, he said.

Jesus answered, it is written: “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Deuteronomy 8:3

The Satan took him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. If you are the son of God, he said, throw yourself down. For it is written: “He will command his Angles concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” PSALM 91:11-12

Jesus answered him, it is also written: “Do not put the Lord your God to test.” DEUTERONOMY 6:16

Again, Satan took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you, he said, if you will bow down and worship me.”

Jesus said to him, away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” DEUTERONOMY 6:13

Then Satan left him, and Angels (the sons of God in Hebrew) came and attended him.

“Change these stones into bread.” Satan knows that hungry is one of the strongest desires in the Son of Man and man had the “POWER”, although it would have been wrong for the son of man to use it, to prove he was the Son of God.

MATTHEW 9:5-8

Jesus said, for which is easier, to say, your sins are forgiven, or to say, rise and walk?

But that you may know that the son of man has “POWER” on earth to forgive sins—he then said to the paralytic—rise, take up your bed and go home. And he rose and went home.

When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such “POWER” to men.

MATTHEW 21:18-22

In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the wayside he went to it. And found nothing on it but leaves only. And he said to it. “May no fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once.

When the disciples saw it they marveled, saying how did the fig tree wither at once? And Jesus answered them, truly I say to you, if you have faith and never doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree.

But even if you say to this mountain, be taken up cast into the sea, it will be done.

Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

Satan used scriptures “OUT OF CONTEXT” to tempt the son of man to prove you are the son of God. To prove you are the son of God is to put the Lord your God to test or trial.

Satan is the God of this world and he said to Jesus, all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor, I will give to you. If you will bow down and worship me. Satan was using greed to tempt the son of man to sin against God.

Jesus always uses scriptures to answer Satan away from me, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. DEUTERONOMY 6:13

Jesus resisted Satan with scriptures and Satan fled from him.

JAMES 4: 1-12

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Isn’t it because there is a whole army of evil desires within you? You want what you don’t have, so you kill to get it. You long for what others have can’t afford it, so you start a fight to take it way from them. And yet the reason you don’t have what you want is that you don’t ask God for it. And even when you do ask you don’t get it because your aim is wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

You are like an unfaithful wife who loves her husband’s enemies. Don’t you realize that making friends with God’s enemies—the evil pleasures of this world—makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy the evil pleasure of the unsaved world, you cannot also be a friend of God.

What do you think the scripture means when it says that the Holy Spirit, whom God has placed within us, watches over us with tender jealousy?

He gives us more and more strength to stand against all such evil longings. As the Scripture says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

PROVERBS 3:34

You can not fight this world’s evil. But we can overcome this world’s evil with good because great is he within you than in the world.

Give yourselves humbly to God. “Resist Satan and he will flee from you.”

“When you draw close to God, God will draw close to you.” Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to him.

Let there be tears for the wrong things you have done. Let there be sorrow and sincere grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Then when you realize your worthlessness before the Lord, he will lift you up, encourage and help you.

Don’t criticize and speak evil about each other, dear brothers. If you do, you will be fighting against God’s law of loving one and another, declaring it is wrong. But your work is not to decide whether this law is right or wrong, but to obey it.

Only he who made the law can rightly judge among us. He alone decides to save us or destroy. “So what right do you have to judge or criticize others?”

Whoever knows what is right to do or who knows the good he ought to do and fails to do it, for him it is a sin.

PATIENCE

See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. For examples of patience in suffering, Lord’s prophets. We know how happy they are now because they stayed true to him then, even though they suffered greatly for it. Job is an example of a man who continued to trust the Lord in sorrow when he is under trial.

Trust the Lord in sorrow when you are under trial.

From his experiences we can see how the Lord’s plan finally ended good, for he is full of tenderness and mercy.
